GCP | how to use gcloud config set command

gcloud config set - sets a Cloud SDK property, below gcloud command will set value of project, region and zone for Cloud SDK.

  • Set enviorment variables

    • export PROJECT=my-project-id

    export ZONE=us-central1-a

    export REGION=us-central1

  • Run gcloud config set command

    • gcloud config set project $PROJECT

    gcloud config set compute/region $REGION

    gcloud config set compute/zone $ZONE
